Craig
M. Billmeyer was born in Belleville, Illinois in 1959 and attained his
undergraduate degree from Southwest Missouri State University in 1981
where he graduated with honors. Mr.
Billmeyer received his law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia
in 1984 where he served as Note and Comment Editor of the Missouri Law
Review.
Mr. Billmeyer joined the firm as an associate in 1984 and became a member of the
firm in 1989.
Mr. Billmeyer’s law practice is concentrated primarily in matters
involving estate planning, probate, estate, gift, and generation-skipping
transfer taxes, and the administration of trusts and estates.
He has extensive experience in assisting clients with the transfer
of wealth from one generation to another, particularly including the
orderly and tax-efficient succession of family-owned businesses and family
farming operations.
Mr. Billmeyer is a member of the Missouri Bar Association’s section on
probate and trust law, the Illinois State Bar Association’s section on
probate and trust law, the Missouri Bar Association and the Cape Girardeau
County Bar Association.
Mr. Billmeyer is married to Mary Donnelly Billmeyer and they have a son
and a daugher.
